Payroll services alliance expands into Asia-Pacific and Middle East

The Alliance now services a total of 130,000 customers employing more than 32 million workers.

The Payroll Services Alliance has expanded its presence into the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions after admitting Australian outsourcing provider Ascender to its ranks.

The Alliance, which was set up in 2010 by Belgian and Norwegian payroll outsourcing suppliers SD Worx and Aditro, consists of a network of organisations that cooperate across different territories to provide multinational services to customers.

With the addition of Ascender, the network now adds Asia-Pacific and the Middle East to its regional coverage on top of Europe, the US and Canada. It currently services a total of 130,000 customers employing more than 32 million workers.

Steven Van Hoorebeke, chief executive of the SD Worx group and co-founder of the Alliance, said: “By adding Asia, Australia and the Middle East to the Payroll Services Alliance reach, we strengthen the position of the Alliance in the global payroll market. Most importantly, we offer our clients the best of both worlds: global governance with local expertise, with a consistent level of services across countries.”

Ascender provides both regional and multi-country payroll outsourcing services and employs 700 staff in 19 countries who service the requirements of 3,000 customers.

Other members of the Alliance include Elanor, which covers central and Eastern Europe; F2A (Italy); Seresco (Southern Europe) and Trianon (Switzerland). Services are also provided to customers in Africa and Latin America via a network of subcontractors
